Join us for the Baltimore debut of Morocco’s Tarwa N-Tiniri, a five piece Amazigh (Berber) band blending traditional Amazigh melodies with blues, jazz, reggae, rock, and Gnaoua rhythms. Storytellers of the desert, crafting tales of resilience, love, and the enduring spirit of the Amazigh people.
The night also features set from Baltimore’s Mowder Oyal and Kutay Sezginel
ABOUT MOWDER OYAL
Mowder Oyal (phonetic Baldamore-ese for “motor oil”) is a collective of musicians and multidisciplinary artists that make hardcore punk and free jazz at the same time.
ABOUT KUTAY SEZGINEL
Kutay’s music explores the intertwined nature of tradition and innovation. Rooted in the rich heritage of Anatolian folk music and inspired by psychedelic rock, dark ambient and krautrock, he creates cosmic soundscapes layered with microtonal cultural motifs and odd time signatures.
