Band includes Craig Alston, Robert “Wawa” LeGrand, Rick Watts, Spyda the Drummer and Rodney Kelley Jr.

Stoney Ellis (Vocals) is a native Washingtonian who had began singing in high school as a gospel singer with a burning desire to sing Soul and R&B Music to the World! Stoney has a true passion of performing live to mesmerized the audience with his soultry sounds that soothes your heart and soul. Stoney has performed with Take 6, Johnny Mathias, Aretha Franklin, and the Winans. Stoney Ellis has sung background vocals for Will Downing, Eric Benet, Patti Austin, George Duke, Gerald Albright and Laila Hathaway. Stoney was very inspired to work on his vocal talent by his Uncle George Spann of the “Dynamic Superiors” who pushed Stoney to work hard at his singing talents to reach to a higher standard! A higher standard indeed is what Stoney Ellis brought in his debut CD recording entitled, “LOVE CHANGES”. A combination of smooth sultry vocals with heartfelt lyrics.

Craig Alston (Saxophone) is Baltimore born and based multi-instrumentalist and composer specializing in woodwind, brasswind, keyboard and bass guitar in genres such as jazz, rhythm and blues, soul, hip hop and gospel. He is best known for his complex yet soulful sound on the saxophone. Craig received the 2013 Jazz Journalists Jazz Heroes Award and was the winner of the 2011 Chick Webb Jazz Combo Competition. Performed with Fertile Ground, Frank McComb, Lee Ritenour, Earl Klugh, Jonathan Butler, Norman Brown, Chuck Brown, The Temptations, Four Tops, The OJAY’S and many more.

Spyda (Drums), a Baltimore native, played with Chelsey Green, Mike Phillips, Frank McComb, Art Sherrod, Jr.

Robert “Wawa” LeGrand (Guitarist) is a native of Turner’s Station in Baltimore. LeGrand had performed with Teddy Pendergrass for over 15 years and the “Teddy Pendergrass If You Don’t Know Me” on Showtime Documentary. LeGrand has played live and/or recorded with Aretha Franklin and Dionne Warwick, Jazz Trombonist and Composer Grammy Award Winner Douglas Purviance, Michael Henderson, Cece Peniston and many more. Le Grand has performed several years on the Capital Jazz Cruise with many National Recording Artists.

Rick Watts (Bassist) in the DMV who enjoys playing all styles of music.
