Wowing audiences on clarinet, saxophone, and flute, Seth has made a name for himself in the Washington/Baltimore region and beyond. He is the featured performer with The Kleztet, Bay Jazz Project, Music Pilgrim Trio, The Natty Beaux, and more. Winner of 28 Washington Area Music Awards (Wammies), including “Best World Music Instrumentalist” (2003-11) and “Best Jazz Instrumentalist” (2005, 2007-8, 2011-14). Christie Macdonald fell in love with guitar when she was 9 years old and has pursued the instrument ever since. A recent graduate of Towson University, she has been active in the Baltimore music scene for about several years, including rock/metal bands, folk groups, and countless jazz gigs. She has an active and diverse group of students she teaches full time.

Just like his namesake, jazz pulses through Ellington Carthan’s veins. This up-and-coming jazz pianist, whose diverse career includes performing, teaching, producing, and composing, holds dual degrees in jazz studies and music technology. Like his mentor, celebrated pianist Cyrus Chestnut, Carthan enjoys mixing genres and resists being typecast. He has performed at prestigious venues such as The Kennedy Center, Strathmore AMP, the Library of Congress, Smithsonian museums, Howard University, and more.

Russ Rodgers has been playing and teaching bass guitar professionally for over 40 years and has studied with Kevin Bales, Jimi Haslip of the Yellow Jackets, Oteil Burbridge, Anthony Wellington, John Patitucci, Trip Wamsley, Corey Christiansen, Mike Pope, Herman Burney and Ted Howe. Russ founded the Bass Program at The Atlanta Institute of Music (AIM) in 1985 and served as Bass Director for its 1st eight years. After leaving AIM in 1993 because of a busy performance schedule both domestically and internationally, Russ returned to AIM and taught classes and private lessons from 2001 to 2013. He taught private lessons at Ken Stanton Music from 2000 to 2014, directed the Bass Program at The East Cobb Music Academy from 1998 to 2005, and The Atlanta Bass Gallery from 2009 to 2014. From 2006 to 2013, Russ was the house bass player at The Ritz Carlton Hotel in Atlanta with jazz vocalist Theresa Hightower.

Joey Antico has quickly become a sought-after drummer in the greater DMV area. Although his roots are in jazz, Antico strives to bridge the gap of old and new music, staying true to the traditions of jazz music while incorporating new ideas and electronics where they appropriately fit. As a gigging and touring musician, Antico has shared the stage with acts including BØRNS, Logan Smith, Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra, Chuck Redd, and Chris Vadala. He works heavily as a studio musician and can be found on various albums of artists around the country.
