The Baltimore Jazz Alliance offers Jazz for Kids (JFK) as a community service in the greater Baltimore and DC region. This interactive, family-oriented program is offered for age groups 5 and up. JFK is an audio/visual presentation that can be offered live or virtually . Included are children’s songs offered in the jazz and Latin styles and a presentation of the music of iconic jazz composers/performers. Participants will be able to participate in a musical “Petting Zoo.” Performers introduce children to a variety of instruments. Participants can also participate in a New Orleans-style musical parade and are invited to scat sing with our vocalist Band members include Rhonda Robinson (vocalist), Philip Ravita (bass), Bob Jacobson (sax, clarinet), Greg Small (piano), and Russell Hayward III (drums).
