Dan Wallace (tenor sax) and Jake Kohlhas (guitar) have been writing and performing music together in Baltimore for nearly a decade with the Soul/Hip-Hop group J Pope and the HearNow. They immediately bonded as aspiring jazz musicians over their many shared influences. Over the course of the pandemic Dan and Jake started writing original music outside of JPHN and are ready to showcase some of that new music with the help of Ed Hrybyk on bass and Frank Russo on drums.
For this performance we will be doing original compositions along with music by Joe Henderson, John Scofield, and possibly others.
