The Baltimore Jazz Alliance is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation dedicated to supporting jazz in and around Baltimore. Your membership dues and donations help support the mission of the Baltimore Jazz Alliance to promote, educate, and inform by means of these programs:

  • The quarterly newsletter, sent in print edition to members, containing articles about musicians, concerts, and venues and about general jazz-related topics.
  • The website, containing articles from the newsletter and other content
  • The jazz calendar, listing events that users post about their performances in and around Baltimore
  • The Jazz Conference, held annually to bring together musicians, educators, and jazz enthusiasts to share information and experiences relating to jazz in Baltimore
  • Jazz for Kids in the schools, led by a small group of jazz musicians who give kids K-12 an interactive and hands-on experience of jazz
  • Member grants, providing funding (usually up to $1000) to members who propose a project that brings something new to the jazz community in Baltimore
  • And more!

NOTE – this page is for making donations. If you would like to become a member, or renew your membership, we ask that you do so here: Join the BJA or renew your membership here
The effect is the same – we welcome your support regardless! – but the membership form will collect just a bit more necessary information. Thank you!
