A.R.T. in Three Chairs Present a Celebration of Strong Women at Germano's Piattini

A.R.T. in Three Chairs will celebrate the strength of women by showcasing well-loved classics of the American songbook. Listeners will enjoy familiar favorites like “God Bless the Child” written by Billie Holiday and “Day Dreaming” penned by Aretha Franklin. Enjoy other tunes by the likes of Dorothy Fields and Nina Simone, and hear the heart-warming song Duke Ellington wrote about his mother, one “Sophisticated Lady.” In this performance, music and storytelling are woven together with each vocalist sharing her perspectives and life experiences (love, comedy, mystery, and heart break). Three Chairs will take the audience on an unforgettable journey.

Developed over coffee and conversation, Three Chairs features Audrey Shakir, Renée Georges and Theresa Sise. Their colorful life stories reflect their diverse backgrounds. The band includes Pianist Justin Taylor, Bassist Eddie Hrybyk, and Percussionist Philip Thomas, So, pull up a chair and get ready for a great evening!
