Michel Nirenberg Quartet - Brazilian Jazz

Michel Nirenberg Saxophone, Tim Murphy Piano, Mike Pope - Bass, Alejandro Lucini - Drums and Percussion. Saxophonist and composer, Michel Nirenberg, on a limited tour from Brazil, is building bridges between the classical, samba and choro music he grew up playing in Brazil and the jazz music he explored more deeply in the United States. His compositions celebrate and build on the common roots found in the music of both hemispheres - a place where African and European influences combine to create a rich and inviting sound.His powerhouse band boasts some of the very best players in the Baltimore-Washington area and are well known nationally!
Tickets: $38/general, $33/BJA members, $22/students (with current and valid student ID). All tickets include all soft drinks, entry in a raffle, and a post-concert buffet of dessert, cheeses and fruit. Adult beverages are available for a small fee.
