For many, hes the father of modern jazz guitar whose pioneering approach has influenced generations of players. Grammy-nominated, Philadelphia-born PAT MARTINO has long been recognized as one of the most exciting and virtuosic guitarists in jazz. His distinctive, fat sound and gut-wrenching performances represent the best not just in jazz, but in all music (Premier Guitar). In the years after his remarkable comeback after brain surgery in 1980, Martino has carved new pathways in jazz through recordings with a large roster of stars. He continues to blaze musical trails with formidable current quintet, whose powerhouse shows have drawn raves nationally and internationally.
