The BJA Partners with the BSO for their “Jazzing the Orchestra” series

The Baltimore Jazz Alliance (BJA) ended the first of collaborations with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) after the Sunday Matinee performance of ‘Lush Life: Ellington and Strayhorn” on November 24th.  The association began when Cait Grose, Associate Director of Patron Experience for the BSO, contacted me in mid-October with an offer for a partnership with the BJA.  | Read more>> Read More

“BLUE IN GREEN,” BJA’S SECOND ANNUAL GALA FUNDRAISER, A GREAT SUCCESS

It was a convivial gathering of music, dancing, food, drink and friendship at the second annual Baltimore Jazz Alliance Gala fundraiser on November 16, 2024. BJA “Kind Of Blue” Gala Fundraiser – A Great Time Had By All

It was a fine autumn night October 14, 2023, when the Baltimore Jazz Alliance held its first fundraiser gala in many years. Taking place in the elegant high-ceilinged event space of the Redwood Exchange Building downtown, the “Kind of Blue” gala was attended by some 90 to 100 festively clad guests (many wearing blue), including BJA members (musicians and others) and sponsors. | Read more>> Read More
